In a tale of anticipation turned sour, Sharath Kumar from Bengaluru faced a disheartening ordeal with his brand-new Tata Nexon. The vehicle, which cost him Rs. 18.2 lakhs, was supposed to be a dream come true but instead became a source of frustration and disappointment.
Upon delivery, Kumar discovered multiple defects in his Nexon Facelift Automatic Petrol Fearless Plus, including water-filled headlights, scratches on the front bumper, quarter panel frame, and tailgate frame, along with shoddy welding and improperly fitted door rubber beading.
Kumar's excitement quickly dissipated as he inspected his new car at the dealership, Prerana Motors in Yelahanka, which he later described as the 'Worst dealer of TATA Motors'. The issues indicated a lack of pre-delivery inspection (PDI) or quality control (QC), despite the vehicle already being registered in his name.
After raising his concerns, Kumar felt that neither Prerana Motors nor Tata Motors took adequate steps to address the situation. He claimed they showed no interest in offering a replacement or refund, suggesting instead that he accept the repaired vehicle with an extended two-year warranty. Unwilling to settle for this, Kumar voiced his grievances on Instagram.
After seeing his new vehicle at Prerana Motors in Yelahanka, which he later referred to as the "worst dealer of TATA Motors," Kumar's initial delight soon faded. The problems showed that even though the car was already registered in his name, there had not been any quality control (QC) or pre-delivery inspection (PDI).
Kumar felt that neither Tata Motors nor Prerana Motors did enough to address the issue after he voiced his concerns. He stated that they suggested he take the repaired car with an extended two-year warranty instead of offering a replacement or a refund. Kumar took to Instagram to air his complaints because he was unwilling to accept this.
